Every now and again I like to take a dip into the unscouted side of NG, and you haven't disappointed me. Frankly I'm shocked you haven't already been recommended, you post somewhat frequently, write blogs, create decent content, the list goes on. I hope my recommendation gets you through, based off what I saw on your profile I think you deserve it.

Oh yeah, and for future reference, try not to draw fan art to frequently, it limits your potential audience, and although your characters look decently made your background looks like a child made it with crayon. Both background and foreground are important, and when they aren't perfectly alike they clash.

waygame28 responds:

Thanks, man! Little harsh, but I understand where you're coming from and I'll work to do better. Thank you for the recommendation!

Looks pretty good, makes me regret not coming on here as much as I used to.

yugland responds:

thanks! was wondering where ya went

Not as awesome as your previous works but still dramatic and well drawn. I would've given it 3/3.5 if you hadn't asked your fans for their interpretation of what the story might be, it's always good to encourage your fans to do something with your art as it instills a sense of community. I like to write sometimes so this backstory may be needlessly long.

I think the back story here is obvious, his mother was a hyena, his father an overly adventurous hunter, and after a sinful night in a dark cave the two created this devoting bastard. Alone and abandoned he carved out his own path using his increased hearing and vision from his mother to find prey, and his human intelligence from his father to kill them. He eventually found his way into a city where he was treated as a costumed weirdo, he fed on stray dogs and cats and slept in abandoned buildings, slowly learning the ways of his Father's species.

Eventually he realized how terrible humans were, how they eat more then they need, how they kill for fun and not for sustenance, how they take advantage of the earth. He vowed to take revenge and punish the human race for their ignorance.

I love it. Brilliantly well draw and expressive, I can fell the devastation they went through and the love they charish now. I wish you luck at university and hope you succeed beyond your own expectations.

DrawingWithArthuz responds:

Thank you!

Never played the game but love your artwork, the collision of water with paint was done beautifully so were the expressions and body language. Background is oddly beautiful as well and perfectly showcases and compliments the foreground. Grand job, keep it up.

Beautiful, as is all of the other works you have published. I wish I could help you treat your depression but I'm not a miracle worker, that is your job. And stop trying to make us pity you with cryptic descriptions and depressing titles. Good luck. I prefer stills rather than gifs because gifs tend to convey specific feeling rather allow the viewer to interpret it for themselves.

codrea responds:

i see why you would say that, though my intention is not to ask for pity or something like that (must admit it felt like it got a bit out of hand when Tom Fulp mentioned something about depression in his Pixel Day post). also, interesting take on the gifs/stills thing, coincidentally i'm working on something these days and maybe it would be a better idea to just scrap the animation thing and leave it a still. thanks for taking the time to write the review, i do think sincere reviews are the best ones when it comes to improvement.

Cool but not gross enough, it feels a little PG. Also the guy has a normal shape but all you can see is his skeleton, I don't know if this is a style but to me it just looks stupid.

foamymuffin responds:

its a nod to s picture i did awhile back, but understandable.

lighting and character design are very professionally done but the background has realistic humans in the paintings which clashes with the foreground's cartoon style. I do however admire the detail in the rug and the rest of the piece but it's those little things that can bring together a piece.

Knightfanghentai responds:

thank you and i wil keep that in mind ^^,

A short lighthearted comic. It almost made me smile. Almost.

ChazDude responds:

How about a smirk?

I like helping others, probably why I'm training to be an MA. I love art just as much as people though, whether it be a song, film, story, or painting I'm one who appreciates all forms of creativity!
Keep on creating! Art matters! You matter!
