A serene and calming song that was in of itself, rather forgettable. But the same could be said for most musical scores in video games, so mission accomplished. Music like this requires context or graphics to have its full effect and while your description helped it I feel it would be truly recognized if used in a game or animation. On a less professional note, happy belated Thanksgiving!

Bertn1991 responds:

Thanks for another review, sir! Just to clarify, this song is from way back in 2012 :-)

Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving as well ^-^

The strange distorted style wasn't my cup of tea but I can still appreciate it. Can't wait to see where it goes.

B-RadGfromOV responds:

distorted? :( ah well, sorry bout that.

It's not going anywhere else, I posted cause it's done :P

DJDureagon sent me here, the beats he added gave even more life to this. I was convinced this was a song you spent weeks working on but 15 minutes? Really though? Color me impressed cause damn man, that was awesome! Well done!

A word of advice though, you seem to think this is garbage, but it isnt. As an artist you need to show your work up not talk it down. You may think its funny or cute or you might actually think its true, but no matter the quality of your music, it's yours, and that should be enough to make it better than anything else. Hope you realise your talents man, peace.

B-RadGfromOV responds:

I appreciate it. I only say this is garbage cause I didn't put any effort forth.

I am very proud of my other stuff that I work hard on, a lot of my other raps have my heart poured into the concept and delivery. My other stuff feels like complete songs, that I really nail and mix on beats. I don't talk shit about those ones trust me ;^)

This is just an exercise for flowing ideas onto paper, pretty much throwaway material.

The beat starts off like any other but then transitions into something that catches the attention, it took me off guard, well done. I really wish that you put down the lyrics or a link to them because then I might actually be able to do a more accurate review of the content, keep that in mind in the future. I could tell however that what you were singing meant something to you, and the way you flowed with the beat was sound wave heaven.

All in all, I really liked this, something I'd listen to whenever I work so well done.

DJDureagon responds:

Hey thanks for the review. I like that you actually gave details about what you think of the track rather than just saying you like it or hate it. Real reviews should be more common around here and I appreciate it. GMinor is the one rapping on this track, which is a good thing because i can't rap. I shouldn't be allowed to rap. If one day I decided to rap a loved one nearby should try to stop me. I put a link in the description to GMs verse. He said its some bunk he made in 15 minutes which is crazy because its clearly hot fire. If i rapped it would not be hot fire. It would be the coldest fire ever. It wouldnt even be a fire.. it would be slightly warm dinner roll that was leftover because everyone is too full on turkey and stuffing. I combined his verse with one of my beats and i think it came out well. I'm glad you liked it, I would write the lyrics down but i think thats more GM's department. As a non-rapper, I might mess up one of the words, and then his hot fire would become a warm dinner roll with no butter.

Much better then the previous work of yours I reviewed, its actually a decent tune. I was expecting a lame chiptune that played more like background music than like an actual song, I also expected it to be waaay shorter so that was another nice surprise.

The work though is very... Good actually, I'll by honest guy, I thought you didn't have it in you but this shows you do put thought and heart into your songs, well done, well done indeed. I won't be listening to you anymore today however, I can't spend all my time reviewing one artist, so I'll check the other tunes out tommorow. Bye!

Dubwolfer responds:

Well, thank you so much, I wasn't having the best day today, but your reviews made me smile and gave me a bit of drive.
I'm honored that you gave me another shot. I work with what I have, and what I have is an app on an iPhone that allows 4 instruments per song, and I've decided to make it my playground. I've been getting better and better, trying things that work and don't work.

It's so nice to see more than just "This is good." or "This is bad."

Tunes posted after this point should be better quality than Biohazard Tango. I'd have uploaded these 4, three days ago, but I wanted to keep my library in order, so there isn't weird jumps in quality.

Sorry for rambling, but you've got no clue just how great it is to hear proper feedback. Have a good one!

Not brilliant, but clever, and very professional, so already it's very impressive, but the beat itself is the kind of beat that blows your mind when you listen to it, and then is immediately forgotten when you hear the next 'mind blowing' beat. Further more, upon relistening I came to appreciate the audio clips as much, if not more than the actual Dubstep™, as they gave it more life than it deserved. I can also tell that you really enjoyed yourself while making this, which isn't all that common with most electronic artists on this site.

All in all, this is a song that is of a quality almost beyond Newgrounds, I'd be shocked if you weren't selling your music or performing live somewhere. Anyways, I hope this really disorganized review did something for you, until next time, Doctnik out.

EruptionMusic responds:

thank you <3

Sounds like the music people play when they breakdance, but the little story in the description implies more heart went into this so I'm guessing this is something that's supposed to be entertaining on its own, but it isn't. The beat stays at the same level, never really intensifying or calming down and the song as a whole is far to short. Maybe it's the equipment, maybe it's not, either way I felt hungry for more just as I was getting into it, good luck on future projects.

Dubwolfer responds:

Hey, thanks bud! This was a 'little' project, just a little beat I made that I wanted to do more with than scrap, so I uploaded it as just a little micro song. It was something to put between my newest three releases at the time (which are the Stripper Mosh Pit, Boss Fight!, and Desolate Future) I recommend checking those out for a more full look at what I'm about.

I totally understand, though, I do wish this was longer and more elaborated on! Thanks so much for listening, and even more for the feedback!

I always wanted to be a game designer, and when I heard this I immediately thought puzzle game background music or end credit music, probably most fitting for a game that is nonscary but Halloween themed, and even though you might not think so I bet a lot of developers would be interested in this. In other words, well done sir!

Bertn1991 responds:

You are too nice! Thank you plenty. I love your idea of this being in a spooky puzzle game. I can dream I suppose ^-^

A cinematic song should set a tone for a film or scene and draw focus to the actor and his\her issue, this song sounds like one of defiance, it tells the story of someone who is on the verge of failure and has to prove to them self and to the world that they will not give in. The song was also about overcoming something, trying to prove to themselves that they can control their own destiny despite their issues. But even if neither of these are what you think the song is about that's what makes it so amazing, that whoever listens to it can create a story entirely their own. Thanks for the music.

Baumarius responds:

Well, I think that just makes the song more amazing, because that's /exactly/ what this song is about, and you nailed it.

Thanks for listening x3

I like helping others, probably why I'm training to be an MA. I love art just as much as people though, whether it be a song, film, story, or painting I'm one who appreciates all forms of creativity!
Keep on creating! Art matters! You matter!
